A Locally Owned, Independent, Community Bank
Welcome to The Fairmount State Bank
We hope our online banking can help simplify your life. If you would like to utilize this service just stop by the bank and request an ACCESS ID.
With online banking you may view your account balances and print recent activity. You can transfer from one of your accounts with us to another of your accounts at our bank. All of your account information is as close as your computer 24 hours a
day!
Of course we still want to see you in person too. We look forward to providing that personal touch that can only be done face to face.
Our ATM is located INSIDE the Village Pantry at the corner of Main Street and State Road 26.
We are members of The Federal Reserve System and the Better Business Bureau.
Our History
The Fairmount State Bank was formed on December 18, 1902. In 1911 we moved from South Main Street to our present corner location on North Main Street. Years later we purchased the R.M. Hall Department Store; then turned it into our current lobby
in 1965.
In 1986 the drive-up window was added using the space where Fox TV and Appliances originally stood, as well as a portion of the former Citizens Telephone Company building, which the bank had previously purchased.
We have always been a locally-owned, independent, community bank serving the town of Fairmount and the surrounding area. Being a community bank is important to us; it means you are doing business with local people, who are familiar with the local
economy.
